Katrin joined the Adoption, Surrogacy and International Child Care Department in 2015.
She specialises in cases concerning children, with a particular focus on representing parents in public law (care) proceedings. Katrin is accredited by the Law Society Children Panel, and acts for children through their Guardians.
At Goodman Ray Katrin extended her adoption experience joining the firm’s high profile international team, as well as continuing her existing work for parents and children in child protChildren Panel accreditationection proceedings. Katrin also has experience of cases featuring Forced Marriage, child abduction, FGM, harmful practices, non accidental injury, fabricated illness, parental alienation, coercive control, domestic abuse, unlawful restraint, leave to remove, and wardship.
Katrin’s caseload frequently involves representing vulnerable clients and her skills are attuned to the need for calm, patient and compassionate advice and support.
Her work has been commended by the Judge in a long running complex case as being assiduous in her pursuit of legal remedies for her client. The case featured parallel criminal proceedings and a judicial review instigated by her client. She also acted for her client in the High Court family proceedings, including advocacy, on a case concerning FGM where the criminal court convicted through the first successful prosecution.
