Laura is an experienced solicitor in Goodman Ray’s divorce and matrimonial finance department and advises on all aspects of relationship breakdown, including divorce, civil partnership dissolution, financial provision following divorce, including financial provision for children, and the complex rules surrounding cohabitation disputes. Laura is also experienced in advising on pre- and post-nuptial agreements.
Laura further specialises in private droit des enfants including child arrangement orders, parental responsibility and specific issues, internal relocation and leave to remove from the jurisdiction. Laura deals with complex private law children cases, often involving allegations of abus domestique.
Laura is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the areas of complex financial remedies, for high income households or where there are substantial assets. This is in addition to being accredited for children law, where there are disputes between parents or relatives. Resolution’s Specialist Accreditation Scheme for lawyers recognises members who have demonstrated excellence in family practice and the areas in which they specialise.
Laura is also a Resolution trained collaborative lawyer which involves working closely in person with both parties and their lawyers to resolve issues. Laura aims to resolve family disputes without recourse to Court where possible, advising clients on all appropriate methods of non-court dispute resolution. Laura is known for her calm and pragmatic approach to cases.
Laura has a broad client base of both high profile and high net worth individuals, as well as professionals and business owners.
Laura qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and worked as a solicitor for Goodman Ray between 2010 and 2017, before relocating to Sussex and raising a family. She is now a Senior Associate solicitor working from both our London and Brighton offices.
