The firm represents high-net-worth and international clients, whilst remaining commitment to delivering a cutting-edge service to its legally-aided clients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the role:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>As a paralegal in our domestic abuse and children team, you will provide comprehensive and efficient support to our solicitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Key Responsibilities:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Performing administrative case management tasks, including opening and closing of files, diarising deadlines and hearings, time recording, billing; preparing files for costing; organising meetings and maintaining solicitors\u2019 diaries;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting solicitors in the preparation of cases, including taking instructions and drafting documents, as required;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conducting legal research and gathering evidence for cases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liaising with LAA, clients, counsel, clerks and experts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting with hearing preparation, including bundles and attending court and court clerking;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Managing cases on HMCTS Court Portal, including submitting applications, uploading\/ downloading documents, and reviewing updates on cases;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Preparing and reviewing evidence and disclosure;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attending meetings and taking notes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assisting with preparation of applications; applying for changes to certificate scope or limitations and using CCMS portal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaking to prospective new clients, completing new enquiry forms;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What we are looking for:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Education: Degree.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A passion for family law.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Skills:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong knowledge of family law procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hard working and dedicated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate a keen, positive attitude and willingness to learn.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent communication and organisational skills and ability to prioritise.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be able to effectively manage own workload and to do list and work independently as well as being part of a team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be adaptable and flexible with a willingness to take on additional tasks and assist others, where necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficient with Microsoft Office, P4W, CCMS and e-filing systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why Join Us?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ongoing training and career development opportunities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A supportive, collaborative, and friendly work environment<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Please send your CV, cover letter, completed job application and equal opportunities form to <a href=\"mailto:mail@goodmanray.com\">mail@goodmanray.com<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goodman Ray is an equal opportunity employer.
